Sprinkler irrigation is similar to the rainfall method of applying irrigation water. Pumping is used to distribute water through a network of pipes. It is then sprayed into the air and irrigated across the entire soil surface with spray heads, breaking up into small water drops that fall to the ground.

Sprinklers provide effective coverage for small to large areas and can be used on a variety of properties. It is also adaptable to nearly all irrigable soils because sprinklers come in a variety of discharge capacities.
